We’re a company that knows the importance of family, as we’re a family-owned and operated business. We treat each customers as if they are an extension of the Parker clan. Once you’ve ordered a handmade wood sign from Whiskey River Home, you’re a member of the family!
25-year-old Dylan Parker started Whiskey River Homes after an apprenticeship during his last semester at University of Minnesota Duluth. The hands on experience lit a fire inside Dylan and a realization that he didn’t want to go into a desk job after college — he wanted to explore this opportunity to be an entrepreneur.
When Dylan isn’t hard at work on Whiskey River Home products and orders, he spends his time enjoying the great outdoors, playing hockey and cheering on the Wild.
Supporting local makers while minimizing our environmental impact
Whiskey River Home is passionate about supporting other small businesses as well as bringing new life to old materials. We work with a local fence company who tears out fencing and rather than burn the wood, we are able to reuse it for our frames. We also purchase our paint from local businesses who are looking to repurpose it rather than throw it away.
Our signs are made from a compressed board that gives it its unique texture and framed with recycled wood.
